Saints too good for Blacktown

A DYNAMIC performance by the St George pacemen provided Saints the 10 points, and the premiership lead, following their outright victory over Blacktown at Hurstville Oval last Saturday.

St George was in a strong position heading into the second day of the fixture, leading by 35 runs on the first innings.

They declared on their overnight score of 4-194 then proceeded to knock Blacktown over for a paltry 86 run-total.

St George only used three bowlers during their second stint in the field, with Steven Green (4-33), Trent Copeland (3-27) and Daniel Magin (3-20) doing all the damage.

The Saints easily knocked over the 51 runs needed for the outright win, with Greg Hunt charging to 40 not out from 33 balls along the way.
