Thaksin looks to return to Thailand

HONG KONG – Ousted Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra said yesterday that he would return home from exile after the party he backed emerged from weekend elections the front runner to form a coalition government. Mr Thaksin, with his party dissolved after a bloodless 2006 coup and him barred from politics for five years for electoral fraud, said he wanted to clear himself of the corruption charges brought by military- appointed investigators.
